A natural history of four meals
I’ve been a big fan of Michael Pollan since attending the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition back in 2012. This book is truly a food lovers manifesto and I’m positive you will fall in love with the author once you’ve finished reading it. Simply put, he speaks poetically when he talks about food and nutrition, and the way he romances ingredients is just beautiful. He proposes the question “What should we have for dinner?” and guides you through three parts talking about industrialization (mono cropping and the food supply chain), pastoral (self sustainable farming practices), and foraging the perfect meal (earning your meal).
